Data deletion

How to request deletion of Foundry account data and Meta Platform Data processed by Auto Reply.

Last updated 25 July 2026

Use the steps below to delete Foundry account data, disconnect messaging channels, or complete a Meta Apps and Websites deletion request. If you arrived here from Facebook with a confirmation code, your request status appears at the top of this page.

Foundry accounts

Email support@tryfoundry.app from your account email to request account or project deletion.

Facebook Login users

Remove Foundry under Facebook Apps and websites, then Send Request so Meta calls our deletion callback.

People who only messaged a Page

Ask the business you contacted, or email support with enough detail to find your thread.

How to request deletion

1. Foundry account or project data

For ideas, generated sites, workspace members, and billing profile data.

  • Email support@tryfoundry.app from the address on your account.
  • Say whether you want the whole account, a specific project, or Auto Reply data only.
  • We confirm when deletion is complete, usually within 30 days.

2. Disconnect messaging channels

Stops new inbound processing for that channel.

  • Open the project → Auto Reply → disconnect Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, or Viber.
  • Deleting the project removes related conversations and facts where practicable.

3. Meta (Facebook) Apps and websites

For people who authorised Foundry with Facebook Login for Business.

  • Open Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites.
  • Remove Foundry, then open Removed apps and websites → View → Send Request.
  • Meta posts a signed request to https://www.tryfoundry.app/api/meta/data-deletion.
  • We delete matching Page/WhatsApp connections and related conversations, then return a confirmation link to this page.

4. Customers who only sent messages

You do not need a Foundry account to message a connected Page.

  • Contact the business whose Page or WhatsApp number you messaged.
  • Or email support@tryfoundry.app with the business/Page name, approximate time, and any message text you can share.

What the Meta callback deletes

  • Facebook Page and WhatsApp channel connections whose stored Meta user id matches the requesting Facebook user.
  • Conversation threads and messages for those connections.
  • Any facebook/whatsapp conversations whose customer external id matches the requesting user id.
  • Encrypted access tokens for deleted connections.

Connections made before this update

Older Meta connections may not have a stored Facebook user id. If your confirmation shows zero connections deleted, disconnect the channel in Foundry or email support with your confirmation code and we will finish the request manually.

Check request status

After Meta sends a deletion request, open the confirmation URL Facebook provides (it includes a code parameter on this page). You can also email support with that confirmation code.
