Licence & terms of use

The terms that govern access to Foundry, your content, generated outputs, and acceptable use of the platform.

Last updated 25 July 2026

Foundry grants you a limited licence to use the service for lawful business purposes. You keep ownership of your ideas and inputs; you are responsible for reviewing AI-generated outputs before publishing.

You own your inputs

Business ideas, notes, uploads, and project data you provide remain yours. Foundry processes them to deliver the service.

Review before you publish

AI-generated copy, claims, and designs should be checked before they go live on your public site or in marketing materials.

Fair use of the platform

Do not abuse generation limits, bypass safety controls, or use Foundry for unlawful or deceptive purposes.

Agreement to these terms

By creating an account or using Foundry, you agree to this licence and our related policies.

These terms apply to the Foundry web application at tryfoundry.app, customer sites hosted on Foundry subdomains, and any related services we operate during early access.

If you use Foundry on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation. In that case, “you” refers to the organisation.

Early access

Foundry is in early access. Features, pricing, and these terms may change. We will provide reasonable notice before material changes take effect for paid plans.

Service licence

Subject to these terms, Foundry grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the service for lawful business and creative purposes.

  • You may create projects, run the generation pipeline, edit outputs, collaborate with invited teammates, and publish sites to your Foundry subdomain.
  • You may not sublicense, resell, or white-label Foundry without written permission.
  • You may not scrape, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract model weights, prompts, or internal tooling.
  • You may not use automated means to create accounts or overwhelm our infrastructure.

Your content & intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit: business descriptions, notes, brand preferences, uploaded assets, and edits you make in the studio.

You grant Foundry a limited licence to host, process, transform, and display your content solely to operate the service — including running AI generation, storing artifacts in our database, rendering previews, and publishing sites you explicitly approve.

BrandDNA & artifacts

Generated brand identity, research summaries, website code, marketing assets, and launch plans are created for your project.

  • You may use outputs for your business subject to third-party model and data provider terms.
  • Foundry does not claim ownership of your project outputs.

Public sites

When you publish, your site becomes available at your chosen slug subdomain.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of public-facing claims.
  • You must not publish content that infringes others’ rights.

AI-generated content

Foundry uses large language models and research tools to produce drafts. Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Validation and citation features reduce risk but do not guarantee accuracy.

  • Verify market statistics, competitor claims, and regulatory statements before publishing.
  • Do not present AI-generated research as human-conducted primary research without disclosure where required.
  • Review generated websites for accessibility, trademark conflicts, and industry-specific compliance.
  • Foundry may regenerate or repair outputs when validation fails; you control when drafts are published.

No professional advice

Foundry does not provide legal, financial, tax, or medical advice. Generated content is for general business and marketing purposes only.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Foundry to create, promote, or distribute content or services that:

  • Violate applicable law or third-party rights.
  • Are fraudulent, deceptive, or impersonate others without authorisation.
  • Distribute malware, phishing pages, or spam.
  • Facilitate illegal goods, services, or hate speech.
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, safety filters, or access controls.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or pose risk to other users or infrastructure. We will attempt to notify you unless prohibited by law or urgent security needs.

Billing & availability

Foundry has not launched paid billing for early access. When paid plans launch, pricing and renewal terms will be presented before you are charged.

  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service during early access.
  • Scheduled maintenance and third-party outages may affect generation or publishing.
  • We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" during early access. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foundry disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Foundry is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service or published sites, including lost profits or business interruption. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid Foundry in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you have not paid fees.
